about
The inspiration for Party Pooper came from an experience we had when we played a few shows in Ireland in 2018. We had a massive night out, played a show, found a jam in a nightclub, and met this guy who followed us around for the rest of the night bumming ciggies, drinks, talking shit and totally melting our brains the entire night! We’re too nice, we didn’t say anything to him at the time because our mum taught us that if we didn’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all! We wanted to make a kind of stupid garagey song about it and voila! Here it is
lyrics
There’s nothing left for me to do
I think that I should leave the room
Thought I was a good person, thought I was above it
But you vibe me the hell out
Party pooper you’re a party pooper
Sucking out my vibe like a zooper dooper
Blander than a can of Campbell’s soup-a
Making me work when when I’m talking to you
Making me work when when I’m talking to you
Party pooper you’re a party pooper
Sucking out my vibe like a zooper dooper
Blander than a can of Campbell’s soupa
Making me work when I’m talking to you
Making me work when I’m talking to you
Not into confrontation (but)
I got a bone to pick with you
I guess that I’m just crazy
Expecting a different result
I know that I’m addictive (but)
I should be more selective (with you)
I guess I’m tryna say
You’re standing just a little too close
Party pooper you’re a party pooper
Sucking out my vibe like a zooper dooper
Blander than a can of Campbell’s soup-a
Making me work when I’m talking to you (oi!)
Making me work when I’m talking to you
Party pooper you’re a party pooper
Sucking out my vibe like a zooper dooper
Blander than a can of Campbell’s soup-a
Making me work when I’m talking to you (oi!)
Making me work when I’m talking to you
You’re pushing all my buttons (uh)
And testing all my boundaries (okay)
I guess I should have known that
You would be the last one to leave
